Yes, we are still alive!

It's ridiculous that I haven't had a post since Ben's birthday (last summer). We've been busy I guess, and have very slow computers at home! I will work on getting some new pictures added this week...if anyone even follows this blog anymore :)

Happy 1st Birthday, Ben!

Our little man is 1 already! What a year it has been....

Ben had a very fun 1st birthday party with our family and close friends. We had one of the best weather days of the summer, and were able to enjoy a nice day outside. Ben enjoyed opening all of his presents, and loved eating his cake!! Thanks to everyone who celebrated this big milestone with us. We are very grateful to have such a wonderful family and group of friends. Ben is lucky to have so many peolple that care about him!! We are looking forward to all of the fun adventures that the next year will bring!

Ben has been growning and changing right before our very eyes. Last week, he was our sweet Baby Ben. Today, he got a new nickname, Benasaurus Rex :) He is crawling ALL over, climbing up the stairs (trying to corner one of the kitties), and trying to stand wherever he is. He also learned how to ride the 4-wheeler Uncle Brad gave him by himself (although he can't steer yet). As much work as he is now, he is so much fun, and we love him very much! He makes us laugh and smile everyday with his great personality, and his daring new adventures!

Ben is eating all table food, and is down to just a nighttime bottle. His favorite foods are carrots, peas, green beans, turkey burger, ravioli, macaroni & cheese, grilled cheese, watermelon, blueberries, and mandarin oranges. He is a pro at saying "uh-oh" and "no-no", and is also saying "ma-ma" and "da-da", and Daa (for Dog, we think). He also can "meow" like the kittes, and barks like Buck (kind-of). He is very curious, and points everything out to us. He got his 1st haircut, and he loves swimming lessons. He really enjoys goingto daycare, and has made lots of friends there. Oh, and how could I forget, he FINALLY sleeps through the night!!! We couldnt be happier about that :)

*Don't worry, this isnt his swimming lesson...he really does go to a real pool for those!*

Happy Spring?!?

Time sure flies around here! We've been busy, and on the go as usual. Ben is recovering from an ear infection right now, but has still been in good spirits! He is rolling all over, and starting to figure out what he'll need to do to start crawling. I give it a couple weeks.... He's close to sleeping through the night most nights, and he LOVES to eat! He loves his fruits and veggies and will be starting some new foods this month.

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

It's been a LONG time since our last posting! We've been really busy here at the Pace house! Ben turned 6 months on Jan. 31!! At his 6 month appointment, he was 19lbs 12oz and 27.25 inches. He's a healthy one. Ben has been eating solid foods, and loving it. His favorites are carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas and pears. He is rolling over more frequently and can sit on his own pretty well! It's amazing how fast he is growing and changing. Ben loves laughing at our cat, Vince, and is starting to be interested in Buck. He had the stomach flu, and has had a couple ear infections in the last several weeks, and is starting to cut his first tooth. Through it all, he has stayed pretty happy for the most part. He still isn't sleeping through the night - but is getting close. We have a feeling it will be soon....

Happy New Year

Once again, we rang in the new year with our friends, the Sicklers. And...once again, the boys have matching PJ's for the special occasion!

Ben is 5 months old now, and is getting to be such a big boy!!! He loves playing with his toys, and tries to sit up all the time. We are looking forward to all of the fun times ahead with Ben this year!
